THE OAK CLIFF LIONS CLUB

The Oak Cliff Lions Club is a member of Lions Clubs International, the World’s largest service Club’s organization with over 1.3 million members in nearly 46,000 Clubs and 750 Districts in some 193 countries and geographic areas of the World. The Motto of the organization is “We Serve”. Lions are “Knights of the Blind”, as labeled by the famed Helen Keller.

The Oak Cliff Lions Club meets weekly on Wednesday’s at 12:00 Noon in the Weiss Auditorium of Methodist Hospital of Dallas, 1401 Stemmons, Dallas, Texas 75208. The Club Office is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. The Club telephone number is 214-947-2921 and the mailing address is Oak Cliff Lions Club, P.O. Membership into Lions Clubs International and the Oak Cliff Lions Club is by invitation only. However, if you desire to work together with a group of community citizens dedicated to assisting their fellowman, while at the same time having wonderful weekly fellowship and a meal, then you are cordially invited to visit a meeting of the Oak Cliff Lions Club. Call the Club Office and make a reservation or just show up for a meeting. You will be warmly greeted.

Anyone becoming a member of the Oak Cliff Lions Club is committing to become active in the Club and its fund raising activities, particularly the Annual “Extravaganza” and Golf Tournament. Dues, which may change from time to time by a vote of the membership, are basically $35.00 per month, which includes all weekly Wednesday luncheon meals, Lions International, District and Club Dues, etc., as well as Dues to the Texas Lions Camp There is a one-time Induction Fee which is currently $35.00. Each Lion receives a subscription to The LION Magazine from Lions International, a Lions lapel pin and Membership Card.
