The Oak Cliff Lions Club’s first edition of Hamburgers-Hotdogs-Horseshoes,
or “H-H-H”, was held, September 8, 2007, at Tyler Street Christian Academy
with Lion Gerry Hurst as Chair. A good crowd of Oak Cliff Lions and family
members participated in the "eat and pitch" Event. The Horeshoe Competition was
"Hot and Heavy" with a roaring final between the McDonald Team and the Buickerood Team !
The Cooking Crew of Robert Hirsh, Hurst, Danny Boyce, Stan Altshuler, Ajay Torres
and Mike Lott left a mouth-watering taste for all, while Charles Musacchio and
other Lions worked other areas of games, etc. Sponors for the Event were Lion Hurst
and Lion Boyce. "H-H-H", in its first outing, netted some $2,000.00 for Club charitable activities.
